Forever Strong is the program you stay in. It picks up where The Basics leaves off and applies the principles of progressive overload — the gradual, structured increase in load and demand that is the only way muscle and bone keep adapting — to programming designed specifically for women in midlife.

It's the program we built for ourselves. The one that supports the hike, the ski day, the grandkids, the move, the long flight, and every other thing you're not willing to give up. Up to three workouts a week, periodized so you build without burning out.

How it's structured

  • Up to three strength sessions per week, 25–30 minutes each
  • Periodized blocks that cycle through strength, hypertrophy, and power phases
  • Mobility, balance, and agility woven into rest periods so nothing is wasted
  • Clear progression rules and substitutions for every exercise

What you'll need

  • Adjustable dumbbells or a range of pairs
  • Resistance bands
  • A bench or sturdy box
  • Barbell access is helpful for some progressions but not required
